Detox Massage (with Thai Cupping)
We are affected every day by pollution, drugs and stress. Each session focuses on different organs to release toxic build-up to increase circulation in the body and improve your lymphatic system.
It helps the body function better and restore your health to normal. Detoxify skin, large and small intestine to increase nutrient intake and proper operation. The focus is on the visceral manipulation of the abdominal organs. Techniques involve pressing, stretching and deep strokes to remove adhesions. Balance emotions and tone the organs bringing about a sense of relaxation. Detox the lymphatic system.
Reiki
Reiki means universal energy. It is a form of energy healing and medical intuition that promotes, clears and opens the energetic channels to activate ones healing potential. The session involves analyzing the Chakras, utilizing sacred symbols, breath work and guided meditations to start and clear blockages.
Registered Massage Therapy
Each patient is an individual. After hearing your needs, our Registered Massage Therapist will use technique(s) from the following to address your specific needs:
Swedish Massage. This is a general term that incorporates many soft tissue massage techniques and remedial exercises. Muscle tension and trigger points are treated using a variety of strokes and manual techniques like kneading, tapotement, effleurage and deep tissue stripping. Most of the Swedish Massage techniques are performed with oil and can greatly improve circulation and cardiovascular function.
Myofascial Release. A safe and very effective, hands-on technique that involves applying gentle, sustained pressure into the Myofascial connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion. Myofascial networks can be balanced to facilitate optimal Posture. Each Myofascial Release Treatment session is performed directly on skin without oils, creams or machinery. This enables the therapist to accurately detect fascial restrictions and apply the appropriate amount of sustained pressure to facilitate the release of the fascia. The use of Myofascial Release allows us to look at each patient as a unique individual.
Zen Shiatsu and Meridian Therapy. Prevent illness by activating and stimulating your innate self-healing powers of resisting sickness. Zen Shiatsu is a form of medical massage therapy originating in Japan. It is meridian based, meaning it looks at how your energy lines interact and is treated using shiatsu techniques. The techniques work on Tsubo (trigger points) on different body parts. It also emphasizes balance using myofascial stretches and joint mobilization. This is an excellent therapy for preventing illness by activating and stimulating your innate self-healing powers of resisting sickness.
Therapeutic Thai Massage
This is different from your regular massage! This unique massage is entirely clothed and uses various techniques with the hands, knees, elbows and feet. Therapeutic Thai massage frees up stagnation in the body, increasing the range of movement in the joints. Thai massage can be very gentle or dynamic, depending on your needs and current state of health.
Yoga
Yoga is a holistic practice that originated in ancient India and has evolved over thousands of years. It combines physical postures (asanas), breathing exercises (pranayama), and meditation techniques to promote overall well-being. Yoga is not just a form of exercise; it's a lifestyle that aims to harmonize the body, mind, and spirit. Through regular practice, yoga cultivates flexibility, strength, balance, and mindfulness. It also helps reduce stress, improve mental clarity, and foster a sense of inner peace and connection. There are many styles of yoga, ranging from gentle and meditative to dynamic and physically challenging. Each style offers unique benefits, allowing practitioners to find the approach that best suits their needs and preferences. Yoga is a powerful tool for self-discovery, self-care, and personal growth.
